The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 cum Luncheon of Senior Police Call (SPC) was held at the Police Officers’ Club on June 26. Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island cum Chairperson of SPC Central Advisory Board (CAB) Kwok Ka-chuen, who officiated at the AGM, thanked the attendees for their continuous supports and encouraged the elderly to actively participate in social affairs and raise their awareness of anti-crime, anti-deception and road safety.
The attendees reviewed the activities held over the past year and discussed the prospect and future development of SPC. Awards of Best SPC Captains and Most Active SPC Members were presented to 44 SPC members in recognition of their contributions and supports to SPC.
Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Chow Yat-ming and Director of Operations Chan Tung were invited to the luncheon. Apart from expressing his gratitude to different sectors of the community for their support, the Commissioner also showed his concern about elderly-related deception. The Force would continue to enhance the elderly’s awareness of anti-deception and crime prevention through inter-departmental and inter-professional co-operation.
During the luncheon, awards were presented to the outstanding strategic partners of SPC for their enormous support. SPC Ambassador 2024 Mr Ng Tai-keung and artiste Ms Chelffy Yau were invited to perform singing. The luncheon also featured Roliball performance by SPC members of Wanchai District.
