The Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) under the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) held the 2024 Hoops Against Scams Tournament at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on May 31 to strengthen the connection between Mainland students in local schools and the Force through basketball for collaboration of both sides in preventing scams. The basketball team of the Mainland Students and Scholars Society of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology was invited to play a friendly match with the ADCC basketball team for competition on skills and promoting anti-scam messages.

Chief Superintendent of CCB Yau Kin-hung praised the game as a wonderful match. He hoped that the students would keep collaborating with the Force to combat fraud and disseminate anti-scam messages on campus.
