For encouraging police officers’ children to experience different cultures and explore the world outside Hong Kong, the Mainland and Overseas Summer Course Sponsorship Scheme offers sponsorship for officers’ children to attend Mainland and overseas summer courses. The scheme is open for application from officers at ranks of senior superintendent or below. The maximum amounts of subsidy for different ranks are as follows:

*The amount of subsidy for each application may be adjusted downwards across-the-board, depending on the number of applications and the budget of that year.
Interested officers should note the following Terms and Conditions:
Qualification for application
1. The applicant should be a serving police officer, and his/her child (the nominee) should be either blood related or legally adopted and has not been sponsored under this scheme previously. If both parents of the nominee are police officers, only one of them may apply for the nominee.
2. The nominee should be aged between 10 and 21 (i.e. born between June 1, 2003 and May 31, 2014, both dates inclusive) on June 1, 2024.
3. The applicant may choose for the nominee a course organised by a reputable institution/organisation to be held in the Mainland or overseas (excluding Macao and Taiwan) between June and August. Sponsorship for the course is subject to endorsement of the Force. General sightseeing tours or regular school programmes will not be sponsored.
4. All matters and disputes are subject to final decision of the Force.
Application procedures
Applicants should submit the application form (available on Force Noticeboard or website of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch (PS&SR Branch)) together with photocopies of the following supporting documents:
• Certificate of Birth of the nominee
• The nominee's school report (mandatorily with result of the second term) for academic year 2022-2023
• Details of the summer course
• Confirmation of the nominee's enrolment to the course
• Payment receipt of the course
The application form and supporting documents should reach the PS&SR Branch either by hand or by post by 1700 hrs on July 15, 2024:

Other information
Sponsorship will be payable to successful applicants’ designated bank account. On returning to Hong Kong, participants may be called upon to assist in future events related to the scheme.
