The Regional Crime Prevention Offices of New Territories South (NTS) and New Territories North (NTN) co-organised their second Animal Protection carnival at Pak Shek Kok Promenade on March 10 for citizens to interact with different animals. A promotion booth of Animal Watchers Programme (AWP) was also set up to disseminate the message of animal protection. The carnival attracted around 3 000 visitor-trips and successfully solicited 25 animal lovers to apply on the spot for adoption of animals from organisations for homeless animals.

The carnival featured anti-deception game booths, animal adoption, magic shows and performance by NTS’s Community Dog Programme. Alongside AWP Spokesdogs Sunny and Zander, anti-scam mascot “The Little Grape” and anti-drugs mascot Mighty Cat were also deployed to disseminate crime prevention messages and promote the Scameter+ app.
