To broaden the horizon and enhance the expertise of the Command Cadre on operational command, Command Cadre members visited Singapore and Australia in January and February respectively. Between January 17 and 20, Chief Superintendents Ma Wai-hing and Lam Hung-chuen led a five-member delegation for a Singapore visit, during which the delegates observed a high-level command exercise of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and exchanged views with the local commanders on operational command and other policing matters.

Moreover, Chief Superintendent Choi Tung-tsoi led four Command Cadre members to visit Australia between February 20 and 23 to exchange insights with the Australian Federal Police (AFP), particularly on operational command, control and co-ordination in response to major and terrorist incidents. The two delegations also took the opportunities to establish and further partnerships with SPF and AFP.
