Cyber Command Course

The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) and the INTERPOL co-hosted a Cyber Command Course in Hong Kong between January 29 and February 2. The course focused on the theme of next generation cyber policing this year and attracted participation of 29 cyber police commanders. In addition to the officers from the Force, other participants came from the Mainland, Macao, Morocco, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the Netherlands, and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Representatives from the cyber security and internet governance industries were invited to share their expertise and engage in discussions with trainees, who were also arranged to take part in practical exercises and a cyber policing conference, during which representatives of overseas law enforcement agencies shared insights on emerging cybercrime and enforcement strategies. In panel discussions, experts from the private sector explored future challenges in cyber policing. The conference attracted participation of over 130 Crime Wing and frontline investigation officers.

INTERPOL held the 6th Digital Security Challenge (DSC) in the Philippines between February 19 and 23. 47 cybercrime investigators and digital forensics experts from 21 countries participated in the DSC.
