The Public Relations Wing organised for 42 Junior Police Call (JPC) members a five-day exchange tour to the Singapore National Police Cadet Corps (the Cadet Corps) on February 14 to enhance the members’ understanding of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Cadet Corps for promoting youth exchange between the two places and broadening the international horizons of the youngsters.

The JPC members visited various SPF units and experienced adventurous training at the Cadet Corps’ field training camp. As February 15 happened to be Singapore’s Total Defence Day, the JPC members visited a local secondary school and interacted with students and members of the Cadet Corps. Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Chan Sze-tat also joined the delegation to show support.

The Cadet Corps is a uniformed group jointly organised by the SPF and the Ministry of Education of Singapore. Through various types of training and activities, the Cadet Corps instils positive values in youngsters and develop their leadership skills.
