The Dowman Road Race 2024, a major annual event of the Police Athletics Club, was held at Pak Tam Chung, Sai Kung on February 24. In addition to the new categories created for auxiliary officers, the category “180A Challenge” was created this year to mark the 180th anniversary of the Force. Moreover, all participants were given commemorative towels. The Commissioner and some other senior officers were present to cheer on the participants and helpers.
The top three places of the new category “180A Challenge” were secured by the Airport District. Police Tactical Unit Headquarters continued to be the Fastest Team in the category of Specialist/ Training Unit while Police College won the championships in the categories of Other Formation/ Unit and Women’s Team. Not only does the race promote a healthy lifestyle among officers, it also increases their enthusiasm and interest in sports.
