On February 21, the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) organised a talk on “Accurate Pre-Declaration, Spot and Report” campaign with SF Express HK. In addition to sharing counter-terrorism and security messages, ICTU encouraged the sector to ensure that consignors make proper customs declarations and report any suspicious objects related to terrorism or violence.
In the talk, the sector agreed to join efforts in promoting the campaign by ways of broadcasting promotional videos on “Run, Hide, Report” and “Spot and Report” and making use of self-help lockers to disseminate the messages. After the talk, ICTU presented certificates of appreciation to personnel of the sector to recognise their active participation and support to the campaign.
The “Accurate Pre-Declaration, Spot and Report” campaign has been launched since the fourth quarter of 2023. Security education talks are organised for the logistics sector to enhance their staff’s security awareness and capability in identifying suspicious activities to build a safe community with united efforts.
