Through the arrangement of the Hong Kong Police College (the College), Superintendent Byun Jae-won from the Police Human Resources Development Institute of the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) led an eight-member delegation to visit the Hong Kong Police Force between December 20 and 22, 2023.

The delegation visited the School of Foundation Training and Police Driving and Traffic Training Centre to understand the College’s facilities and officer training. The delegation was particularly interested in the Tactical Training Complex as KNPA was also planning to build a similar training facility. The delegation also visited Yuen Long Police Station and Shenzhen Bay Port Police Base, where they were received by Divisional Commander of Yuen Long Division Mak Po-yin, who had led a study visit delegation to KNPA in October 2023. During the visit, policing practices and strategic initiatives on policing challenges were shared.
