SSPODIST


District Commander of Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) Chu Man-lung led officers for an exchange with the new Chairman and 15 members of Sham Shui Po District Council on January 19 to introduce the SSPODIST management team, local crime trends, policing challenges, and response strategies to the councillors. They also explored future co-operation direction with the District Council, District Fight Crime Committee and District Services and Community Care Teams. The active discussion and opinions on local issues expressed by the participants enhanced understanding and collaboration among the parties involved.


On the same day, Chairman of the Sham Shui Po Road Safety Campaign Committee Mr Yeung Kwong-shing was invited to serve as the reviewing officer for the passing-out parade of SSPODIST Auxiliary Police Annual Continuation Training. Alongside other community leaders, he witnessed 109 auxiliary officers completing their annual continuation training. He also thanked them for sparing no effort in supporting various policing work in SSPODIST.


KWTDIST


To enhance communication with new members of District Council (DC), Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) held a tea reception on January 19. Upon invitation, District Officer (Kwai Tsing) cum Chairman of Kwai Tsing DC Mr Huggin Tang, together with 30 new DC members, attended the reception, during which Force officers and DC members shared their experience and insight on community policing and crime prevention. District Commander of KWTDIST Tam Nga-ching also introduced the community crime prevention programme, KWTDIST Anti-Crime Elites Scheme, and encouraged the DC members to support and promote the scheme.
