While the officers from the Task Force Sub-unit (TFSU) of Railway District were conducting an anti-pickpocketing operation at the Causeway Bay MTR Station on the evening of December 24, 2023, they spotted two suspicious males who utilised a pair of modified iron pliers to steal a woman’s wallet from her handbag in a shop. In co-ordination with the officers from TFSU of Wan Chai District who were on duty nearby, they carried out a joint operation to arrest the two males immediately and recovered all the stolen properties. 

The officers brought the criminals to justice and explained the required procedures to the victim patiently, without upsetting her festive mood. She wrote a letter of thanks to express her gratitude and praise the officers for their professionalism.
