Beijing


The Police College (College) arranged Senior Superintendent Chow Chi-kwan and Superintendent Wong Wai-yin to lead five inspectorate and 21 junior police officers to attend the 105th Mainland Development Programme at Beijing Police College between November 13 and 24, 2023. The programme marked the first course at Beijing Police College resumed after the pandemic. The attendees took part in a series of thematic seminars, including the latest policing and technology application in Mainland, as well as the implementation of the Constitution.


Yan’an


Arranged by the College, Chief Inspector Henry Lai led nine senior inspectors to join the delegation of 32 officers from the Force, Fire Services Department, Correctional Services Department and Government Flying Service to attend the National Study Course offered by the Shaanxi Executive Leadership Academy, Yan’an for the first time between October 7 and 13, 2023. They were arranged to visit several historical landmarks to understand the country’s development process. The delegation also had on-site exchanges with Zaoyuan Police Station, which has been honoured as one of the best law enforcement units in the country.


Guangdong


The College arranged Chief Inspector Yau Chuen-fai to lead a group of 19 officers from Patrol Sub-units, District Investigation Teams and Marine etc., along with law enforcement officers from Macao, to participate in the second delegation of the Hong Kong and Macao Police Training and Exchange Programme in Guangdong Province between November 6 and 10, 2023. The delegation visited police stations in Chaozhou and Shantou to comprehend their strategies on crowd management, scientific police deployment and public services.


Shenzhen


A delegation of 23 officers from the Traffic Branch Headquarters (TBHQ) and five Regional traffic formations led by Senior Superintendents of TBHQ Poon Shui-ping and Choy Wai-sum visited the traffic department of Shenzhen Police Security Bureau on November 24, 2023 to share experience in traffic policing strategies, traffic enforcement and road safety promotion with the local officers.


The Shenzhen Traffic Police officers briefed on the traffic situation in Shenzhen, their scope of work and types of vehicles, etc. Their escort team demonstrated challenging motorcycle maneuvering skills. The delegation toured the road safety experience centre to learn about how road safety messages could be promoted through the latest interactive experiences. The delegates also visited the traffic enforcement command centre to understand how to train officers to handle cases through technology.
