Australia


Crime Wing arranged frontline crime officers from various District Investigation Teams (DIT) to visit the Australian Federal Police (AFP) between November 14 and 17. As the first DIT exchange group to go beyond Asian region, the visit aimed to expand the officers’ perspectives of international affairs and policing, as well as enhancing bilateral partnership in crime investigation and daily constabulary work.


Chief Inspector of Eastern District Investigation Chan Chi-leung led the 15-member delegation to visit AFP units and forensic units in Canberra, Australia. The delegation members also exchanged their knowledge and experience on crime investigation and judicial procedures with the AFP officers.


Germany and France


The Police College arranged Chief Superintendent Tse Tsui-yan to lead a seven-member delegation to visit the Bavarian State Police (BSP) in Munich, Germany for the first time and the INTERPOL General Secretariat Headquarters in Lyon, France between October 9 and 13 to enhance the officers’ professionalism and expand their international perspectives.


The delegation visited various departments of BSP and shared enforcement experience with the local officers. During the visit to the INTERPOL, the delegation was arranged to tour the Command and Co-ordination Centre and attend a briefing by the Assistant Director of Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption Centre on the importance of international co-operation in combatting transnational cyber and financial crime.
