Recruitment Division (RECDIV) held the Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) Orientation Day on November 23 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of PMP and welcome new mentees of the extended PMP. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chan Joon-sun and Head Mentor of PMP Chan Man-tak led representatives of various tertiary institutions to host the opening ceremony, which was joined by nearly 400 mentees from local, Mainland, overseas tertiary institutions and diploma of applied education.
The Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp and RECDIV arranged team games for the mentors and mentees to work together and fully demonstrate their team spirit. Five serving police officers and veteran mentees led the participants to review the development of PMP over the past 20 years, shared their experiences of joining the Force through PMP and introduced the internship work plan for the coming year.
