The first study programme for Mainland Public Security Bureau (PSB) officers resumed after the pandemic was held successfully between September 18 and 27. The 25-member delegation comprised PSB officers from various provinces, cities and autonomous regions. Representatives from the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Personnel Training Bureau of MPS also accompanied the delegation for co-ordination.
The theme of this programme was “the handling of major event”, under which the delegation visited various frontline formations and units successively. Through field observation and interactive exchanges with frontline officers, the delegates gained insight into the planning, incident handling, risk assessment and manpower deployment during various large-scale public events. The delegates also highly appreciated the professionalism of the Force in safeguarding Hong Kong during Operation TIDERIDER.
The Force has been working in good partnership with law enforcement agencies of the Mainland. Mutual visits and training programmes are arranged proactively to lay a solid foundation for consolidating co-operation in policing.
