The graduation ceremony of the Certificate of Knowledge in Policing Programme organised by the Public Relations Wing (PR Wing) was held at Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp at Pat Heung on September 16. Senior Superintendent (Community Relations) of PR Wing Yau Sin-man attended the ceremony as the guest of honour. She encouraged all graduates to set goals and strive to become future pillars of society. In his speech of gratitude, representative of the graduates Mr Mak Tsz-ho said that the programme enhanced his knowledge about policing work. He was striving to join the Force and hoped to apply what he had learned to give back to the society. In addition to receiving graduation certificates and various awards, the graduates also reviewed clips of previous training. Some parents even attended the event to show their support.
The Certificate of Knowledge in Policing Programme is designed for JPC members aged 15-25. The course has been recognised at Qualifications Framework Level 3 since 2019. PR Wing is optimising the course so that it can better address the needs of young people at present.
