The Hong Kong Police College arranged Chief Inspector Chiew Tsi-huen to attend the 47th International Senior Police Officers’ Command Course organised by the Royal Malaysia Police College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from August 7 to 25. 37 senior police officers from 21 countries and regions in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe attended the course. They shared experience among themselves and understood more about policing work in different geographic areas.

The Course, which emphasised the importance of multi-lateral co-operation, aimed to enhance the participants’ leadership skills and broaden their scope of global policing through lectures, workshops and study tours. Each participant had to submit a report on a designated topic relating to the policing environment and challenges of their respective jurisdictions for sharing with other course-mates. The course has effectively strengthened the officer’s management and leadership skill sets, and facilitated the Force’s establishment of long-term working partnership with its overseas counterparts.
