The 8th Cross-disciplined Forces Training Programme for Ethnic Minority (EM) Youth was held at the Hong Kong Customs College (HKCC) in Tuen Mun on August 26. The programme was jointly organised by the Public Relations Wing of Hong Kong Police Force and Customs and Excise Department, and supported by other disciplined services. Officers from the Correctional Services Department, Fire Services Department, Government Flying Service, Immigration Department, Auxiliary Medical Service and Civil Aid Service took part in the programme. A total of 47 EM youngsters joined the programme, which was held in the form of day camp.
The programme provided disciplinary, physical and team-building training to help EM youngsters integrate into society, build positive values and encourage them to strive for their goals. Participants took the physical fitness test, tried sports climbing and toured the training facilities of HKCC. Representatives of the disciplined services also introduced the work scope and entry requirements of their respective services for the participants to know more about the duties of disciplined forces.
