The Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF) Yang Joe-tsi and Senior Superintendent of Auxiliary Support Bureau (AUX SUP) Chan Kwok-fai led a 23-member delegation to visit the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau (PSB) on August 23. The delegation comprised ten regular officers from AUX SUP and 13 HKAPF members.
The delegation was arranged to visit the Police Training School of Shenzhen PSB. Deputy Director of the political office of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department Mr Su Haonan, Deputy Director of the political office of Shenzhen PSB Mr Rao Cangang and local officers introduced to the delegation the management, training and assessment of the Shenzhen auxiliary police force while the delegation gave an overview of HKAPF and its secondary cadre. In addition, the delegation was arranged to visit the longest-serving police station in Shenzhen and the exhibition themed “40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone”.
All members of the delegation found the visit very beneficial as it not only enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the vigorous progress of policing in the Mainland, but also allowed them to communicate the latest updates of HKAPF to the local law enforcement agencies.
