To align with the Force Strategic Direction “Preparing the Workforce to Meet Emerging Challenges”, Administration of Kowloon East (KE) hosted the Wave II Sharing Session at KE Regional Headquarters on August 16. Hong Kong deputy to the National People’s Congress Mr Chan Hiu-fung was invited to be the guest speaker to strengthen colleagues’ knowledge about national security. In the sharing session, which attracted 120 officers, Mr Chan gave an overview of the history and development of “one country, two systems”, as well as the systems and inspiration of National People’s Congress and National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (the Two Sessions). He also advised the Force to seize the opportunities arising from our country’s contemporary changes.

The sharing session provided an effective and interactive platform that enhanced the officers’ understanding of the Two Sessions and gave them in-depth insights into the implementation of measures to safeguard national security.
