In view of the unfortunate fatal accidents that happened during marine activities held within Sai Kung Division (SKDIV) in the first seven months of this year, the Police Community Relations Office of Wong Tai Sin District, officers of SKDIV and Marine East Division, together with community leaders in Sai Kung and marine workers, including District Fight Crime Committee (Sai Kung) Chairman Mr Ng Sze-fuk and other members, as well as Sai Kung Kai Fong Committee Vice-chairmen Mr Li Tin-fuk and Mr Ma Yee-sup, held a publicity event on July 30 to promote sea safety by distributing leaflets and souvenirs in the vicinity of Sai Kung Public Pier.

The Force appealed to the public that they should engage in water sports activities with their companions according to their abilities, and that they should pay attention to the weather condition and their own physical health and take safety measures to avoid accidents.
