A total of 101 trainees received their Professional Certificate and 46 Force members completed the Workplace Learning (WPL) phase and were issued an Advanced Diploma. Officers who have further completed the WPL phase in their respective crime unit will be awarded an Advanced Diploma in Policing (Criminal Investigation). Holders of Advanced Diploma are entitled to credit exemptions when enrolling in designated advanced academic courses. Up till May 2023, a total of 3 997 officers have completed SCIC with Professional Certificate awarded. Approximately 90 per cent of them have commenced WPL in the crime units. Amongst them, 241 inspectors, 278 sergeants and 866 police constables have been awarded Advanced Diploma.
To promote the programme and assist fellow officers in completing the WPL phase, the HKPC Detective Training Centre and Examinations and Assessment Centre have taken various measures, such as organising regular workshops, meeting with crime officers in WPL phrase and their supervisors to provide assistance, as well as uploading the softcopy of portfolio onto POINT to facilitate access by officers.
