Superintendent of Commercial Crime Bureau Lee Mo-yin and Chief Inspector of Financial Intelligence and Investigation Bureau Cheng Sze-wai visited Singapore on July 6 and 7 to attend the Financial Crime Seminar hosted by the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS). During the sharing sessions, they briefed on their experience respectively in fighting crime by adopting public-private partnership and cross-boundary collaboration, and investigation techniques in dealing with money laundering involving shell companies.

The seminar attracted more than 500 representatives of financial regulators, law enforcement agencies and banking sector from the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and North America. ABS invited President of the Financial Action Task Force Mr T. Raja Kumar, to deliver keynote speech. The occasion offered a sound communication platform for participants to exchange experience in combatting financial crime and narrate the challenges they had encountered. It also facilitated the connection between the Force and overseas units.
