Emergency Unit of Hong Kong Island (EU HKI) organised Job Shadowing Programme for 17 mentees of Police Mentorship Programme on May 10. Officers of EU HKI led the mentees to join the briefing first, and showed them various arms and equipment. Officers of the Regional Rural Patrol Unit led the mentees to mount a mini-scale exercise involving laying ambush for teaching them operation techniques in rural areas. They also simulated an action in which a burglary suspect was observed and tracked down in the rural areas.
The mentees feedbacked that the eventful job-shadowing programme enabled them to have a better understanding of the diversified police work and solidified their determination to join the Force.
