The Force Annual Shooting Competition was held in the indoor firing range at the Police Headquarters on April 29. The first Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) Invitation Promotional Relay was also held that day. The exciting competition attracted participation of 205 officers from various Formations of the Force. Representatives from the Fire Services Department, Immigration Department, Correctional Services Department, Independent Commission Against Corruption and Customs and Excise Department were invited to join the competition this year. The shooters competed for their placement according to the speed and accuracy of their shooting. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, Commandant of Auxiliary Police Force Yang Joe-tsi, Chairperson of Police Sports Council (PSC) Chan Sze-tat, Vice Chairperson of PSC Kwok Ka-chuen, Regional Commander of Kowloon West Rupert Dover, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Police Shooting Club (HKPSC) Chu Man-lung, together with senior managements of the law enforcement agencies, attended to show support to the shooters.
HKPSC will organise a series of revolver and pistol courses for Force officers, civilian officers and their family members during the summer vacation period. For details, please refer to the Force Notice Board.
