Kowloon East (KE) arranged frontline crime investigation officers from Regional and District level in KE to visit the Singapore Police Force (SPF) between February 15 and 18, with a view to enhancing frontline officers’ capabilities in technology crime investigation and strengthening partnership with their Singaporean counterpart.
Chief Inspector of Regional Crime Unit of KE Hui Nok led a ten-member delegation to visit the Technology Crime Division, Financial Investigation Division, Specialised Crime Division and Clementi Police Division of SPF. The SPF officers shared their experience and expertise in technology crime investigation, as well as the challenges they encountered. The delegation visited the Digital Forensics Laboratory and was introduced the tools for examination of mobile phones and retrieval of data to facilitate technology crime investigation. The delegation also visited the Anti-Scam Command where technology was utilised to identify potential scams to mitigate victims’ monetary losses.
The interflow visit offered a valuable chance for the delegation to share policing knowledge and techniques in crime investigation so as to enhance their international perspective and professional capabilities. It also projected the professional image of the Hong Kong Police Force and enhanced collaboration between the Police Forces of the two jurisdictions.
