Officers of the Animal Watch Scheme under the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North (RCPO NTN) led members of Project PETFECTION to join the “Island South Discovery – Little Geologists” conducted by the Ocean Park between November 2022 and January 2023. A total of 92 students and teachers from three schools joined the three events.

The participants boarded a Chinese style boat to tour around the coastal area in the southern part of Hong Kong Island. They explored various coastal attractions, including military landmarks and waterworks structures. They also observed sea waves crashing on rocks and the phenomena of marine caves from a short distance to learn about marine conservation. The eco-tour guides also introduced traditional fishing skills and sea life of the fishermen. Meanwhile, RCPO NTN officers shared tips on deception prevention to enhance the participants’ awareness of anti-deception.
