Since the fourth quarter of 2022 and with the coordination of Western District and Traffic Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong Island (HKI) Regional Integrity Management Committee organised a three-part integrity campaign under the theme of “Manage Your Money” to enhance the officers’ awareness of and ability in healthy financial management.
The first part of the campaign was rolled out in December 2022. In addition to the publication of a series of financial education infographic, a seminar entitled “Do’s and Don’ts of Financial Management”, which was hosted upon invitation by Dr Ringo Chan Yiu-kwong of the Investor and Financial Education Council, was held. Over 60 officers from HKI attended the seminar.
The second part was an online financial quiz to test the officers’ financial knowledge. A total of 391 officers joined the quiz, with an average score of over 70 marks. It proved that the officers could master financial knowledge.
The third and final part of the campaign was the “Ultimate Quiz Competition on Financial Wellness” held on February 16. 12 officers with top scores in the online quiz were invited to participate in a live quiz competition. The participants were divided into four groups and answered questions about financial management through an interactive game platform. Regional Commander of HKI Kwok Ka-chuen led the regional management to join the competition. In the end, the team comprising officers from Eastern District and Operations HKI won the competition.
The campaign has enhanced not only the officers’ understanding of financial wellness, but also the culture of healthy financial management in the Force.
