Crime New Territories South (NTS) and E-Police Division (E POL) of the Information Systems Wing (ISW) co-organised a seminar on e-154, an application that records a statement digitally, for frontline crime officers to understand how to record statements with e-154. In his opening speech for the seminar, Regional Commander of NTS Mak Chin-ho points out that the Force is committed to developing information technology to meet the need of policing in the digital age, given the rapid technology development of today. He encourages the officers to make good use of the technological resources for increasing work efficiency, allowing themselves to focus more on their core duties.
Superintendent of E POL Ho Henry and his team introduced the features of e-154, including a demonstration on the procedures for recording a complete statement. The E POL officers patiently answered the questions raised by frontline crime officers and collated their views on the application for its optimisation. The team also introduced the infrastructure and facility initiatives being developed by ISW on information and communication technology to provide various resources that can cater for the officers’ actual working needs.
