The Force set up a booth in the Education and Careers Expo held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre between February 2 and 5 to introduce its multi-faceted and professional work themed on “Serving Hong Kong with Honour, Duty and Loyalty”. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee also came to show his support.
The Recruitment Division (RECDIV) introduced virtual reality simulating shooting experience and a tour of the Tactical Training Complex of the Hong Kong Police College for the public to have a taste of the challenging police training. RECDIV officers also briefed visitors on entry requirements, selection process, attributes required of recruits, salary and benefits of the Force, as well as the career paths and promotion prospects of the officers.
During the Expo, officers from 17 formations, namely the Police Dog Unit, Airport Security Unit, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, Police Negotiation Cadre, Force Rope Access Cadre, Police Tactical Unit, Emergency Unit, Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Force Search Unit, Weapons Training Division, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, Small Boat Division, Force Escort Group, Quick Reaction Force, Technical Services Division, Family Conflict and Sexual Violence Policy Unit and Narcotics Bureau, the last two of which joined the Expo for the first time, took turns to introduce their daily work and equipment to the public.
