To enhance the officers’ ability in handling liquor-licensed premises, Shum Shui Po District (SSPODIST) held an experience sharing session at the Kowloon West Regional Headquarters on November 15, 2022 to share good practices acquired from successful cases for the officers to enhance their understanding of the major points in objection against liquor license renewal application.
During the sharing session, Acting Deputy District Commander of SSPODIST Ko Chun-pong, Assistant Divisional Commander (Administration) of Sham Shui Po Division (SSPODIV) Mok Oi-him and Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit Commander of SSPODIV Kan Chun-ngong highlighted the operation plan against the problematic bars, collaboration and liaison with Police Licensing Office and relevant stakeholders, and the procedures for raising objection against liquor license renewal application. The salient points for compiling official memos of objection and points to note for open hearings held by the Liquor Licensing Board were covered. The experience sharing session enabled the officers to handle liquor-licensed premises more effectively and strengthened the bonding and information exchange among the units concerned.
