To celebrate the 180th Anniversary of Marine Region of the Hong Kong Police, “180 years: Safeguarding HK Waters - Community Engagement and Charity Day” will be held at Marine Regional Headquarters (MHQ) in Sai Wan Ho on November 19. On the same day, the Marine Police Dragon Boat team (MPDB) will hold the “Dragon Boat Cross Harbour Charity Parade”, in which the MPDB and other invited team will paddle dragon boats from Kowloon Public Pier to MHQ in Sai Wan Ho for a length of about 8km. The event serves to recognise Marine Region’s partnership with the community in safeguarding Hong Kong waters.
The charity parade aims to raise $180,000 for the Hong Kong Angelman Syndrome Foundation, which provides support to persons suffering from Angelman Syndrome and their families. MPDB has also designed the dragon boat charity singlets to celebrate the 180th Anniversary of Marine Region. Any donation over $180 will be awarded with one. If you would like to support the charity event, please contact ATSROs of respective Marine Divisions or the office of PCRO MPDIST at 3660-9262. All donations over $100 will be tax deductible.
