The Integrity Corridor on the sixth floor of the Police Headquarters connecting to Wan Chai Division Police Station completed its renovation in early September for promoting integrity culture. District Commander of Wan Chai District Au Wing-leung officiated at the opening ceremony. Members of Wan Chai District Integrity Committee also attended the event to introduce the concept of the renovation and convey the importance of integrity to fellow colleagues.
The members of Wan Chai District Integrity Committee 2022-23 appointed in May 2022 conceived the idea of optimising the “Integrity Corridor”. They integrated the works of integrity activities undertook by Wan Chai Police District and merged the Force's integrity mottos over the years – “Without integrity, everything we do is flawed.” and “The righteous person is watchful over himself even when alone.” Relevant elements of the latest motto of integrity culture - “Having a clear conscience” - have also been added in the renovation to deepen the colleagues’ sense of “integrity in supervision, execution, aspiration, concentration and dedication” for maintaining the Force values.
Since 2014, the Corridor has been used for promoting integrity culture to remind officers of the importance of integrity, enhance officers’ awareness of integrity and establish integrity culture among officers in the District.
