The Psychological Services Group (PSG) and Recruitment Division (RECDIV) under Personnel Wing won the Excellent Employee Wellness Award and Elite Change Management Award respectively at the HR Excellence Awards Ceremony 2021/22 held by the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management on September 7. The winning projects were “Decoding Social Unrest for Tideriders - Resilience Programme for Police Officers” and “Tapping into and Nurturing the New Talent Pools”.
PSG’s project focused on how the Force strengthened officers’ resilience in Operation TIDERIDER, while RECDIV’s highlighted how the Force surmounted recruitment challenges with renovating reforms in recent years. The awards showed the presenting organisation's recognition of the Force’s outstanding human resources management strategies.
Moreover, RECDIV is conducting Police University Recruitment Express at 11 local universities between September and October. To facilitate university students to join the Force upon graduation, RECDIV conducts for the first time on-campus selection processes for Police Constable, Probationary Inspector and Auxiliary Police Constable. Serving officers who are alumni of the respective university, mentors of the Police Mentorship Programme and officers of RECDIV will also share recruitment information, training tips and work experience with the participants on the spot.
