The Marine Region and Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps Bonding Fun Day held at Ma Liu Shui Marine Police Base on August 24 was participated by about 130 youngsters. The Marine Police Dragon Boat Team led the participants in the ice-breaking games, dragon boat experience and challenge, and a visit on board a Police launch. The Hong Kong Adventure Corps, Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps and Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps also joined the dragon boat race to compete with the Marine Police Dragon Boat Team.
Deputy Commander of Marine Region Lau King-lun presided over the opening ceremony of the event. He emphasised that the Fun Day was one of the activity series for the bonding of Marine Region and Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps, which aimed at developing the youth into upstanding and contributing citizens. Through this event, different communities would be connected, and exchange between the youth and their parents would be enhanced for the young generation to give full play to their potential, vigour and creativity. Commanding Officer of Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps and Superintendent of Project Implementation Team of Marine Region Yuen Ching-fong also attended the event.
