To strengthen teenagers’ sense of belonging to the community and to promote interaction between the Force and young people, Kowloon East Region (KE) held the 2nd youth talent competition “Happy Teen’s Got Talent” on August 20 under its Project VALUE and Project Happy Teen jointly.Twelve teams from primary and secondary schools were invited to join the competition. They showcased their talents through music, dancing and sports. More than 300 students and their parents attended the event, with three team-winners and other special prize winner selected by the judges eventually.


Regional Commander Dr Law Yuet-wing remarked in his speech that young people represent the future of society. He hoped that various innovative activities would be held under Project VALUE to cultivate positive values in young people. He also thanked the KE Happy Teen Committee for their continuous concern and support for youth development.


KE launched Project VALUE on July 31. It is a youth engagement project which refers to the Education Bureau’s “Values Education Curriculum Framework” and works with different stakeholders in the community to nurture young people's positive values and life attitude. The project will foster youth engagement through innovative and diverse means to enhance their law-abiding awareness and national identity.
