The Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North (RCPO NTN) rolled out in 2022 the fourth phase of “Project North-i”, in which seven CCTV systems were successfully installed in four buildings. After completion of the installation works in June 2022, members of District Fight Crime Committees (DFCCs) and sponsors of the project paid inspection visits to the buildings.

Since 2018, RCPO NTN has joined hands with DFCCs to launch “Project North-i”, which aims to encourage and subsidise installation of CCTV systems in old buildings with few security facilities in the Region to enhance their building security for crime prevention and detection purposes. Since implementation of the project, 43 CCTV systems have been set up in 24 buildings.
