To tie in with the activities celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, enhance public awareness of counter-terrorism (CT) and encourage public participation in CT efforts, the Police Community Relations Office of Central District (CDIST) has been promoting CT education to kindergarten teachers and students, Senior Police Call members and employees of transnational enterprises by various means since May, hoping to achieve “whole-of-community” approach in CT. The participants said that the education activities help them understand how to identify, response and report suspected terrorism-related persons, objects and activities, as well as seeing the importance of public support and participation to CT efforts.
