Works were carried out in the Indoor Sports Hall of the Police Officers’ Club (POC) from April to June to install additionally an LED screen 2.7m high and 9m wide with resolution at 3200 x 900 pixels for projection and video display purposes. Affiliated sports clubs and art clubs, as well as individual colleagues, may utilise the LED screen together with the performance stage of POC to organise various events in the Indoor Sports Hall. Brand new light trays were also installed in the Billiard Room in May to meet the standards for international competitions. The relevant works have been completed, with the Indoor Sports Hall and Billiard Room re-opened on June 10 and May 23 respectively. Please call 2607-4531 or visit the webpage of POC for reservation of these facilities.
Moreover, thanks to the generous donations of fellow officers, a number of books covering various subjects have been received to enrich the book collection of POC’s TV and Reading Room. Specially designed ex-libris on which the donor’s name is shown as a token of appreciation are attached to those books. Colleagues who would like to make donation of books are welcome to contact the manager of POC.
Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch will provide members with the latest information through different channels to enhance their knowledge about the operation, promotion events and optimisation works of POC and Police Sports and Recreation Club.
