With the ninth Junior Police Call (JPC) Central Advisory Board (CAB) being formed in January 2022, Commissioner Siu Chak-yee appointed 22 members on May 19 and the first CAB meeting was held on the same day. To garner youth opinions so that JPC activities would meet their needs and cater for future development, three members of the 12th JPC Advanced Leader’s Council, Chairman So Yan-ching, Vice-Chairmen Tan Chi-fung and Tang Yu-hin were invited for the first time to attend the first meeting of the JPC Central Activity Organising Committee (CAOC) held on June 7. They exchanged ideas with the CAB members and the Police Community Relations Officers in advising on planning of the future JPC activities.

The JPC CAB was established in 2005. Its membership comprises police officers, professors, professionals, community leaders and representatives of government organisations to provide advice on the development of the JPC and current issues related to young people. The board is assisted by sub-committees on specific issues, such as activity planning, finance and publicity.
