To assist frontline officers in preparing for the upcoming security operation for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Force Media Liaison Cadre has produced a four-episode e-learning package to share briefly the knowledge and skills involved in handling the media to facilitate the security operation.

The e-learning package has been uploaded to CERT since June 2. Each episode lasts eight to ten minutes, whose topics cover “Media Ecology”, “Media Facilitation”, “Communication Skills with Media” and “Spokesperson Training”, which is tailor-made for officers ranked inspector or above.

The e-learning package aims to strengthen officers’ media facilitation capabilities, thereby fostering a better police-media professional relationship.
