Commissioner Siu Chak-yee visited the Emergency Unit of Kowloon West (EU KW) and exchanged views with the frontline officers on May 21. The Commissioner emphasised the importance of internal communication and expressed care about the officers’ health amid the pandemic. He listened to their views on everyday duty and manpower deployment to identify the challenges they faced when performing frontline duties. He also responded to their questions relating to matters concerning recruitment, equipment and welfare. The Commissioner also shared his experience of working as Platoon Commander of EU KW. He further reminded officers to pay attention to “lone-wolf” terrorist attack and encouraged them to continue their professionalism at work so that the public trust and confidence could be maintained.
