To express their gratitude to the Force’s efforts in fighting against the fifth wave of the epidemic, some charitable members of the public donated anti-epidemic soup packs to the Force. Over 170 000 packs were delivered to all Regions for packaging on May 18. Each of the officers, civilian staff, staff re-employed after retirement and some auxiliary officers received five soup packs.
VolunTIER team comprising retired officers helped packaging the soup packs at various Regions and the Police Officers’ Club (POC) between May 19 and 21. Under Secretary for Security Mr Au Chi-kwong, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak, visited the POC on May 19 to assist in the packaging work and cheer for the colleagues and volunteers.
With the hard work of colleagues and volunteers, all the soup packs were distributed to Force members on May 23. To express its sincere gratitude to the support of the community, the Force will keep serving the public in its capacity.
