The Service Quality Wing (SQW) has been collaborating with the Information Systems Wing (ISW) since September 2021 to launch “1-Minute Compliment” on the Force’s internal video platform P-TV. Officers can make short videos of the public’s commendation letters and share them on the platform to affirm and illustrate the appreciation expressed by the public to Force members. In order to enhance the staff’s knowledge and skills in video production, SQW and ISW co-organised an online training workshop on “1-Minute Compliment” on April 20, 2022. Short-video producers from ISW explained how to use editing software to create a “1-Minute Compliment” short video. Over 50 representatives from all Regions were attracted to the workshop.
Subsequent to the debut of the first “1-Minute Compliment” video aired in September 2021, some other clips, three production guidelines and an episode of “IT Capture” highlighting this initiative have been uploaded to P-TV consecutively, with over 15 000 views recorded so far.
The video clip of the workshop has been uploaded to P-TV, and source materials for production can be found on SQW’s webpage in Police Intranet. Colleagues can browse relevant information to learn how to make a short video. SQW and ISW will keep producing templates with different backgrounds so that the public’s appreciation can be shown and spread widely.
