To maintain physical and mental health of Force members and their family, the Personnel Wing has launched a series of anti-epidemic activities during the fifth wave of the epidemic.

In order to secure sufficient quantities of anti-epidemic supplies for Force members, the Personnel Wing has sourced all kinds of anti-epidemic supplies, including rapid antigen test kits, medicine containing paracetamol, vitamin supplement and face masks, for distribution to officers.

As for officers who have tested positive for COVID-19 and need to undergo quarantine, Force Welfare Officers will contact them to offer support once upon receipt of notification of such cases. Training and Staff Relations Officers then assist in distributing anti-epidemic supplies to them as a timely relief.

In response to the Government’s appeal to get vaccinated, the Welfare Services Group organised an outreach COVID-19 vaccination programme for children of Force members at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on March 4.

Maintaining mental health is also crucial during the epidemic. As such, Psychological Services Group (PSG) launched a music programme at lunch break for officers to express their feelings and exchange encouragement with one another. Moreover, two mindfulness exercises were arranged for Force members who wished to relax the mind and body and to relieve stress. PSG has also set up psychological support hotline service to provide counselling and guidance for officers in need.

As a gesture of encouragement, the Catering and Support Unit has been serving healthy soup at most Police Station canteens from March 8.

The Personnel Wing will continue to strive for the well-being of colleagues and their family members, and will take on challenges with the Force under the epidemic.
