Between January 15 and 18, Western District (WDIST) and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) conducted a joint operation against street obstruction, illegal parking and illegal occupation of roads and other related offences near Connaught Road West and Des Voeux Road West, to minimise the danger and inconvenience to road users and pedestrians caused by the commercial activities in the vicinity.

During the operation, the Police issued 87 fixed penalty notices and ticketed two persons for placing goods in public place causing obstruction, and issued 18 warnings to commercial outlets for putting goods in public place causing obstruction.

The Force will continue to conduct joint operations with FEHD officers, monitor the condition of the streets and ensure road safety and smooth traffic flow with the relevant departments.
