On December 16, 2021, Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) organised a train-the-trainer workshop on Chinese-style flag raising and invited volunteer instructors from the Police Public Relations Branch to teach related skills to 36 principals and teachers from primary and secondary schools in the district.

Basic movements of Chinese-style marching, such as halting, marching, marking time and saluting, and Chinese-style flag raising were taught in the workshop. The procedures for a Chinese-style flag raising ceremony were also explained in details with demonstrations. The training enhanced the participants’ understanding of the skills and procedures required in a Chinese-style flag raising ceremony. The participants expressed appreciation to TWDIST and volunteer instructors for providing support to the schools in the district.
