Central District (CDIST), through the “Central Little Apprentices Scheme”, led a group of around 80 secondary students and Junior Police Call members of CDIST to visit the News and Information Services Division of the Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) on August 25 and 26.

Controller of News and Information Services of TVB Ms Wong Shuk-ming guided the tour and introduced to the students the historical development of the news industry, news production process, editorial principles, entry requirements of reporters, as well as the work and equipment of live broadcasting studios and different production units. The visit enhanced the students’ understanding of the work of news media and encouraged those who are interested in joining the news industry to plan ahead.
