Eastern District (EDIST) held a Dragon Boat Experience Day under “Project Tick Tick” for youngsters at the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin on August 5, with a view to promoting a healthy lifestyle as well as building up team spirit, confidence and resilience of young people. The youngsters and EDIST officers were split into two teams to compete in a dragon boat race.

“Project Tick Tick” is a community programme organised by EDIST to prevent juvenile crime. In addition to fostering positive relationships between the Police and youngsters, the programme also aims at preventing teenagers from going astray by inspiring them to develop positive attitudes towards life and cultivate a proper mindset through different activities.
